LASTING HOST SSH ACCESS AGREEMENT

• Definitions

Customer: - Person with whom the company has contracted to supply services.

Company: - Lasting Host

Server: - Any server operated by The Company

SSH or Shell: - Remote access to command line processing.

• Service

The customer upon signing this agreement; will be given access via SSH to the server that their account is held on.

• Customers Obligations

• By signing this agreement you accept that the company will log all activity whilst connected via SSH to The Companies Server(s).

• You will not move out of your domains directory structure and into other people accounts.

• You will not attempt to view copy edit or otherwise manipulate any file outside of your home directory.

• You will not operate compile or execute any software that scans monitors or attempts to modify the operation of the Server or any other Server.

• You will not run any software that continues to run after the session has finished this includes but is not limited to egg-drops distributed computer projects or monitoring software.

• The customer shall not disclose access details including but not limited to username(s) password(s) IP address(s) hostname(s) or port number(s) to any other person other than the signatory of this agreement and if such information is disclosed the customer is held responsible for damages and costs

• The customer undertakes to ensure that their username and password are kept secure at all times.

• The customer will change their password from the default password as supplied by the Company at the commencement of the original contract.

• Companies Rights and obligations

• The company reserves the right to suspend or terminate this agreement at any time if either a breach of this agreement is logged or if security issues that may affect the service offered to other customers is affected or threatened.

• The company reserves the right to modify this agreement at any time with no notice if security issues arise that may affect the service offered to other customers.

• The company will without warranty or guarantee pursue reliable operation of this service.

• In the event that a customer is in breach of this agreement The Company reserves the right to cancel access to this portion of the service without notice. If the breach is in contravention of any section of the Computer Misuse Act The Company reserves the right to suspend or cancel the main contract and instigate legal proceedings.

• Miscellaneous

• This agreement is in addition to the Term and Conditions of The Company and all said Terms apply herein.

• A separate agreement must be signed and faxed or mailed for each username The Customer wishes to enable this service for.

• These Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties as to the subject matter of these Conditions and supersedes all prior oral or written agreements understandings or arrangements between them relating to the provision of the Services.
